Itinerary:
First day
Arrival at Villa PaPe. Welcome refreshments and traditional Croatian dinner in the evening.
Second day
We'll start this package with visiting Trogir after the breakfast.
Trogir one of the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic towns in Central Europe and definitely one of the must see towns while staying in Croatia. With our guide explore the little streets, squares and palaces of this beautiful town. After a full day of walking, we’ll have traditional Croatian meal.
Third day
Cooking class-Dalmatinian cooking seafood islands and seaside
The main characteristic of island and seaside cuisine is plenty of fish/sea food, olive oil, vegetables and self-sown herbs. Fresh sea fish is grilled, boiled, marinated or prepared as a stew-brodet. Molluscs (squid, cuttlefish, octopus), crustaceans (shrimps, lobsters) and shellfish (mussels, oysters, date-shells) are boiled in a fish stew, prepared as risotto, fried cooked. In the morning we’ll search Trogir green and fish market and find the freshest ingredients for our cooking class. Full dinner will be served after the class.
Fourth day
Today we'll head out to Krka waterfalls and Sibenik. Krka waterfalls National park is one of the most beautiful and deverse natural places in Croatia. After arriving at the park, we'll take a boat tour that includes visiting Roški Slap, popular waterfall and island Visovac. Visovac is a small island where Roman Catholic Monastery Visovac is situated famous for its collection of scripts written in old Croatian alphabet Glagoljica. On the way back to Trogir we’ll visit Sibenik and its medieval historical core built both in Gothic and in Renaissance style. Cathedral of St. James a listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List is the high peak of Sibeink’s visit. Finish the day with traditional Croatian dish.
Fifth day
Take a long breakfast and enjoy a relaxed day with activities you like the most. Is it going to be visiting one of the nearby towns of just lazy walking through the streets of Trogir is for you to decide, just do not forget to have your dinner set especially for you!
Sixth day
Today we'll spend a day in Salona and Split. Ancient Salona started as an Illyrian town, occupied by the Greeks and with its peak in Roman period a truly remarkable place to visit. After visiting the ruins of the Roman Salona, we’ll visit the Split city center and its palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian. Explore the town’s 1700 year history with our guide. In the evening relax with Crotian dinner served only for you.
Seventh day
Cooking class-Dalmatinian cooking mountain part of Dalmatia
Of the meat dishes, prosciutto is most famous - pork leg smoked and dried in the bura (from Drnis), served with dry, mostly sheep’s cheese. Lamb is also very popular, especially boiled or baked. Also, dried mutton (kastradina), roast beef, Dalmatian stew (pasticada) with gnocchi. Lightly boiled vegetables are also favorite dishes (Swiss chard with potatoes, tomato sauce) often a mixture of cultivated and self-sown vegetables, spiced with olive oil and wine vinegar, or served with meat (manestra - pasta with minced meat; arambasici - stuffed vine leaves). One famous meal from Omis-Poljica region is soparnik, Swiss chard in filo pastry. In the morning we’ll search Trogir green fish market and butchery to find the freshest ingredients for our cooking class. Full dinner will be served after the class.
Eight day
After a week full of activities return to your everyday schedule after the breakfast in the villa!
